Here was last terms classes;
2pm - 3:30pm Beginners Sewing Machine - Cost $265. Class size max 8. Age 9+ Materials Kit $50 - includes all fabrics, thread, batting, lining, elastic. Total cost is $315.
This class is for children who are confident in setting up their machine ie winding a bobbin and threading. Also, they must have sewn before.
What we will cover - Safety procedures, seam allowance, quilting, hemming, all about fabric, grainline, using a pattern, pattern markings, cutting, pinning, finishing edges, elastic casing, measuring with tape, marking and ironing.
Projects - Quilted Fabric Basket and Elastic Waist Skirt & Patch Pockets
What to bring - your sewing machine, pedal & cord. Under 10's must have a machine with speed control. Otherwise hire is available at $50 for the term. Bring your spectacles, closed in shoes and water bottle. Hair tied up please! No need to bring scissors, pins etc as we will be using mine.

4pm - 5:15pm Intro to Hand Sewing & Absolute Beginners - Cost $220. Class size max 8 Age 8+ Materials Kit $25 - includes felt, stuffing, fabric, thread, lining, heading tape. Total cost is $245.
What we will cover - Hand Sewing - Running stitch, overstitch, knotting, finishing off. How the sewing machine works, machine setup, safety procedures, straight line sewing, pivot, reverse stitching, pinning, cutting.
Projects - Felt Stuffy & Bunting
