St Hilda's Junior After School Program

This course is ONLY for St Hilda's students.

This beginner sewing program is designed for students who would like to learn how to use a sewing machine and create their own projects. No experience is needed.

Year 3 - 6

THIS TERM'S PROJECTS - Students will create two signature Miss Mary projects:
Bunting and a Quilted Cushion.
Students will learn
• How to safely use a sewing machine
• How to wind a bobbin and thread the machine
• How to sew straight lines, reverse and pivot
• How to cut fabric and create neat points
• Pinning and seam allowance
• Basic quilting and hemming techniques

Students will take home the projects they make.
